Sustainable supplier
PREMATECNICA IS CERTIFIED AS A SUSTAINABLE SUPPLIER
We are proud to announce that PREMATECNICA has been certified as a Sustainable Supplier by the UN Global Compact Spain, in collaboration with the ICO Foundation and ICEX Spain Export and Investment, as part of the first edition of its training programme for SME suppliers. This programme involves training SME suppliers to large companies that are partners in this initiative in Spain in specific areas of the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is an international training project, as it focuses not only on Spanish suppliers but also on those from other countries.
Supply chains are one of the driving forces behind the global economy; they are essential for the development and distribution of goods and services worldwide, as well as connecting businesses of different sizes, sectors and geographical areas.
The programme’s objectives have been:
To provide training on sustainability to the supply chains of major Spanish companies that are partners in the initiative in Spain, using the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the SDGs as a framework.
To provide Spanish SMEs and those from other parts of the world with knowledge and resources on corporate sustainability, based on the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the SDGs.
To help SMEs that supply large companies participating in the Global Compact to comply with national, European and international regulatory frameworks relating to sustainability.
To position Spain as a leader in promoting corporate sustainability and contributing to the 2030 Agenda through a pioneering United Nations project.
PREMATECNICA is a company that has been committed to sustainability—in its economic, environmental and social dimensions—for decades. We recognise its importance as a core value and have embedded it across our business strategy, promoting a set of ethically responsible values and procedures—both individual and collective—that support our operations and contribute to sustainable development.
